ABOUT ME...

I am 55 and live in North Devon with my family and pets.

I have first hand experience of the huge benefits of therapy and I enjoy exploring how emotions can affect us and how we can manage them.

I grew up in the countryside and have always loved animals and the outdoors. I like to incorporate  these elements into my work, offering walk and talk therapy with the capactity to bring your own, well behaved dogs with you.

MY BACKGROUND...

I have experience in all of the following sectors

Counselling
 

I currently run a private practice for adults, teenagers and children 11+ mainly outdoors Walk & Talk, (video & phone also available for adults)

I have also worked in schools and at The Dartmoor Center for Counselling and Psychotherapy in Newton Abbot

Teaching
 

I have over 25 year's experience working in education as a teacher and in family support roles, therefore, I have a clear understanding of the high stresses for staff & students in this sector​​​

Currently, I am a National Counselling Society Tutor running courses for the helping professions at Safe Space for Counselling.

MY QUALIFICATIONS...

I am an Accredited Professional Registrant Member (band B) of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (PNCPS Acc.) and have the following qualifications:

​

- Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling,

- Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychology  (Graduate member of the British Psychological Society)

-Professional Diploma in Supervision

- Professional Diploma Working with Children and Young People

-Certificates in working with PTSD and Trauma

​- BSc degree Animal Science 

- Post-Graduate Certificate in Education.​

- I hold a current enhanced DBS for working with children in Devon.
